With so many\u00a0damaged homes still in need of repair, the Pacific Century Fellows\u2013Marianas Chapter,\u00a0a leadership development\u00a0program cohort modeled after the Pacific Century Fellows of Hawaii,\u00a0is holding a 5K \u201cBack On Our Feet\u201d run\/walk\/roll event on Saturday, Oct. 3. One-hundred percent of the proceeds will go directly to CNMI C.A.R.E. (CNMI Advocates for Recovery Efforts) to rebuild homes damaged or destroyed by Typhoon Soudelor.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Registration for the 5K, which will take place on the\u00a0grounds of Garapan Fishing Base (right across Kristo Rai Church), begins at\u00a05am.\u00a0The 5K itself begins at\u00a06am\u00a0from the Garapan Public Market to Quartermaster, and will conclude with raffle prizes. Minors under 18 must have adult supervision.<\/p>\n
Runners, walkers, and rollers are welcome.<\/p>\n
The registration is $15 cash\/check per participant and will include a free event T-shirt\u00a0and raffle ticket.\u200b<\/p>\n
Participants can pre-register for the event\u00a0by picking up forms from\u00a0the following outlets:\u00a0JP Center (1st\u00a0floor), Century Hotel, and Shirley\u2019s Coffee Shop (Susupe).<\/p>\n
