The day after the typhoon the residents of this road worked until 3pm to clear the unpaved portion.\u00a0\u00a0No one from the CNMI government did anything to clear it, except for one Tuesday afternoon two weeks ago when a front loader supervised by the mayor\u2019s staff cleared debris from a small section.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the road is still pretty much as it was when the residents cleared it on Aug. 3.\u00a0\u00a0In fact, one place still has a tree hanging over the road just waiting to fall. (See picture 1)<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the road itself is almost impassable, with ruts over a foot deep (See picture 2).
