Calendared hearings scheduled for 1:30pm still proceeded at the judge\u2019s discretion.<\/p>\n<p>Regular business hours of 7:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, for the CNMI Judiciary on Saipan will resume beginning Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>On Rota and Tinian, business hours will be 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, except on holidays.<\/p>\n<p>The return to regular business hours is due to the restoration of CUC power. Any change to the Judiciary\u2019s regular business hours will be disseminated on the Judiciary\u2019s website, www.justice.gov.mp, and through other media. <strong>(NMI Judiciary)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jury selection cancelled<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is to inform all prospective jurors on panel \u201c14BS\u201d that the jury selection scheduled for Monday, Oct. 5, 2015, at 8:30am in Courtroom 202A is hereby cancelled until further notice. Nominees should have a notable humanities achievement in the past year in any of four categories: Research and Publication in the Humanities; Preservation of Traditional Cultural Practices; Preservation of CNMI History; and Outstanding Humanities Teacher (in both classroom and non-classroom settings). A fifth category, Lifetime Achievement, recognizes significant contributions to the humanities over multiple decades.  This award may be given posthumously.<\/p>\n<p>Nomination forms and instructions are available at the council\u2019s office in the Springs Plaza Building, Gualo Rai, or on the council website at www.northernmarianashumanities.org. Nominations are due no later than 4:30pm on Friday, Oct. 16. Awards will be presented during a ceremony to be held in late October.
