{"id":211888,"date":"2015-10-07T06:06:07","date_gmt":"2015-10-06T20:06:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=211888"},"modified":"2015-10-07T06:06:07","modified_gmt":"2015-10-06T20:06:07","slug":"public-warned-of-hazardous-surf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/public-warned-of-hazardous-surf\/","title":{"rendered":"Public warned of hazardous surf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Based on information received from the National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam, and compiled at the CNMI Emergency Operations Center, a large north swell from Tropical Storm Choi-Wan will produce high surf for the next few days.<\/p>\n<p>A high surf advisory is now in effect until 6pm Saturday along north facing reefs.<\/p>\n<p>Expect hazardous surf of 9 to 11 feet along north facing reefs today, Wednesday, diminishing to 8 to 10 feet tomorrow. Surf is expected to remain hazardous through Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>A small craft advisory remains in effect until 6am Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Fresh winds near 20 knots and seas of 9 to 11 feet will produce hazardous conditions for operators of small craft tonight through Wednesday night.
