Villanueva)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Speaking at the Saipan Chamber of Commerce\u2019s monthly meeting at Kanoa Resort yesterday, CARE communications committee member Glen Hunter said they are constantly seeking new members.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe CARE group is open to everyone, it is very inclusive,\u201d Hunter said. \u201cIt\u2019s seeking new members and those members that we\u2019re hoping to bring aboard\u2026[are those] that can provide one of three things: money, manpower, or materials to address unmet needs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CARE was formed in August and is composed of non-profit, private, faith-based and other organizations to address long-term recovery as well as unmet needs of the community.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter said Chamber members could help by joining CARE\u2019s bi-weekly meetings or by encouraging volunteer work among their companies.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the things that CARE is focusing on right now are debris cleanup, repair, and rebuilding of homes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese are huge tasks that CARE will be focusing on [and] attempt to address,\u201d Hunter said.<\/p>\n<p>CARE has seven committees: communications and resource development, donations and volunteer management, workforce recovery, spiritual and emotional\u00a0care, disaster case management, construction, and public health.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe group is continuously evolving based on the needs of the community,\u201d CARE interim facilitator Gerri Willis said.<\/p>\n<p>CARE will be having its next meeting on Oct. 13 at the third floor of the TSL Plaza in Garapan.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on CARE, visit their website at www.cnmicare.com.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI encourage you to go to the website.
