Scott Ferrin, National Field Service Director for the Society for Human Resource Management, will be a special guest speaker at the NMI Chapter\u2019s October general membership meeting. Ferrin will present on the topic, \u201cSuccessful HR Strategies for Building an Ethical Workplace Culture.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Chapter\u2019s 2015 president, Frank Gibson, invites all managers and human resource professionals to attend. \u201cNowadays we are all concerned with the ethical status of our workplace. This will be a topic of special interest to all that will help managers and human resource staff assess the degree to which their organization has an ethical culture.\u201d<\/p>\n
The presentation will include the steps needed to build an even stronger ethical structure that will contribute to business success. Ferrin will discuss the current status of workplace ethics, the reasons good ethics equal good business, the elements of an ethical workplace culture, HR strategies to build a stronger culture, and the importance of ethical practice as an HR competency.<\/p>\n
This lunch meeting will be held at the\u00a0Pacific Islands Club\u2019s Charley\u2019s Cabaret on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, from 11:30am to 1:30pm.<\/p>\n
This presentation is open to the public and will be an invaluable opportunity for employers and HR professionals and staff to gain tools and knowledge for a self-examination of their workplace culture.<\/p>\n
