Villanueva)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The project\u2014hosted by the Saipan Fil-Am Lions Club, Saipan Marianas Lions Club, and the new Saipan Marianas Alpha Leos\u2014is in line with the Lions Club International\u2019s Worldwide Week of Service in Sight, a special international service event to help eliminate preventable blindness and improve eyesight.<\/p>\n<p>Young and old in need of reading glasses of different graduations lined up as early as 7am to avail of the services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur number one purpose is to serve,\u201d region chair lion Ladyvir Canape said, adding that they are hoping to do the event every year.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cThe turnout for the distribution of reading glasses was great. We decided to do it at Marianas Business Plaza since they have the Saturday market.
