Apatang said they are now waiting for FEMA to assess some of their facilities, including the dog shelter in Lower Base, the nursery at Chalan Kanoa, and the Sugar King Park.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe turned in our request for assistance,\u201d he said. \u201cI hope they can check us out so we can get some funding so we can repair, especially the facilities in the dog kennel area.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Mayor\u2019s Office estimates that between $200,000 and 350,000 is needed to repair the dog shelter, which was badly devastated by Typhoon Soudelor.
