A fire of still unknown cause engulfed a yellow Camaro that was rented by a group of tourists at Banzai Cliff in Marpi on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
No one was reported injured, according to Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services spokesman Derek Gersonde last night.<\/p>\n
Gersonde said DFEMS received a call from the Department of Public Safety dispatch about a vehicle on fire at Banzai Cliff on Sunday at 2:52pm.<\/p>\n
Firefighters from the Susupe Station and medics from Garapan Fire Station as well as arson investigators arrived at the scene at 3:05pm, Gersonde said.<\/p>\n
By 3:29pm, the fire was extinguished and under control.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Arson Investigation Unit,\u201d Gersonde said.<\/p>\n
No other details were provided.<\/p>\n
Saipan Tribune learned that the car belongs to Summit Car Rental. The company\u2019s owner said he has no details about the incident but stated that no one was hurt.<\/p>\n
