A Chinese-Korean woman was reported missing and her vehicle was found abandoned near McDonald\u2019s in Garapan yesterday afternoon.<\/p>\n

A concerned citizen told Saipan Tribune last night that his friend, Mei Hua Zhao, about 25 to 30 years old, stopped answering her cell phone after 10pm on Monday.<\/p>\n

The friend, who asked not to be identified, disclosed that Zhao, a scuba diving instructor, was supposed to pick up some customers yesterday morning but she did not show up.<\/p>\n

He said another friend found Zhao\u2019s white Toyota Tacoma parked near McDonald\u2019s in Garapan yesterday afternoon. He said he immediately called the police at 3:30pm.<\/p>\n

The pickup truck was locked, he said. Police took the vehicle for investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are worried about her,\u201d he said, adding that he searched many places on the island yesterday but could not find her.<\/p>\n

The concerned citizen posted Zhao\u2019s photo on the Saipan Buy\/Sell\/Swap Facebook account, hoping to get information from the public.<\/p>\n

He said Zhao\u2019s husband was already notified and that he came to Saipan from Tinian yesterday.<\/p>\n

The couple stays in Gualo Rai.<\/p>\n

Department of Public Safety Commissioner Jaime Deleon Guerrero confirmed last night that there is indeed a missing woman and that they are still investigating the case.<\/p>\n

Deleon Guerrero also confirmed that the woman\u2019s vehicle had been recovered.<\/p>\n
