(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Over 200 students participated in the Marianas Young Professionals\u2019 first Breast Cancer Aqua Walk last Saturday.<br \/>\nThis initiative intended to reach out to the community and center MYPros\u2019 activities on breast cancer awareness, which they hope to do annually.<\/p>\n<p>Participants had the choice to walk two miles in the beautiful ocean or on the beach at the Aquarius beach front in Chalan Kanoa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s very important to give back to the community,\u201d MYPros vice president Nola Hix said, \u201cThis is a fight close to many of our hearts. We have a lot of people in our community who have been affected by breast cancer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Marianas Walking Association held a similar event five years ago, and this year the Marianas Young Professionals decided to revive the Aqua Walk and join forces in support of the \u201cCancer Doesn\u2019t Discriminate\u201d campaign.<\/p>\n<p>The event was revived this October to include students from the public and private high schools.<\/p>\n<p>Students from Grace Christian Academy, Mount Carmel School, Marianas High School, Saipan Southern High School, and Kagman High School participated in the Aqua Walk.<\/p>\n<p>MHS won first place in their Think Pink! Spirit Contest and received $500 in cash donated by Bridge Capital LLC.<br \/>\nSSHS won second place, while MCS placed third.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from the walk, MYPros and members of the community also decorated poles and waved alongside their adopted portion of Garapan Road near the Bank of Guam intersection last week.<\/p>\n<p>MYPros thanked their Aqua Walk sponsors, the Marianas Walking Association, Foremost, PDI, KKMP, IT&amp;E, Bridge Capital, Commonwealth Cancer Association, Marianas March Against Cancer, American Red Cross, Power 99, Skywalker Communications, Sen. Sixto Igisomar (R-Saipan), Rep.
