The Department of Public Safety\u2019s search teams have already covered wide areas of the island but have yet to unearth any signs of missing scuba diving instructor Mei Hua Zhao.<\/p>\n
A DPS source disclosed over the weekend that teams conducted searches in Marpi, Naftan, and Obyan Beach areas.<\/p>\n
The teams also checked the former La Fiesta Mall in San Roque, where a bartender was found murdered in February 2012.<\/p>\n
DPS teams are expected to continue the search today, Monday.<\/p>\n
The source said there was no search last weekend as officers were given a break for the All Souls\u2019 Day celebration.<\/p>\n
The source also stated that there was no truth to rumors that a body was found inside a sack at a jungle in Marpi. What was found was a sack that contained a dead pig, the source said.<\/p>\n
The search for the 25-year-old Zhao is now on its third wee, but authorities still have found no trace of her.<\/p>\n
DPS acting spokesman Jason Tarkong last week also denied rumors that a body was found in Garapan.<\/p>\n
Zhao\u2019s husband, Guang Zhe Xuan, 45, owns Go Pro Diving on Tinian and Saipan.<\/p>\n
Zhao\u2019s last communication with Xuan was last Oct. 19. At that time, Xuan was on Tinian while his wife was reportedly in Gualo Rai after she had just finished a diving excursion with customers.<\/p>\n
