Skywalker Communications donated two statues of \u00c5nimu, the CNMI mascot that symbolizes strength, solidarity, unity, hard work, and perseverance, to the Office of the Governor on Tuesday this week.<\/p>\n

The statues were presented to acting governor Ralph DLG Torres.

\nAccording to Skywalker managing director Dr. Hu Bo, \u201cthe sheer level of commitment of the many individuals to restore\u201d the island of Saipan in the wake of Typhoon Soudelor \u201cis a true of example of being \u2018CNMI Strong, Saipan Strong.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Typhoon Soudelor ripped through the island of Saipan on Aug. 2, 2015, causing injuries and destroying homes and the island\u2019s infrastructure. True to their nature, the people of Saipan came together immediately to start the restoration of their island home.<\/p>\n

Since Typhoon Soudelor, the recovery process on Saipan has not been easy. Ninety days have passed and the hardworking men and women from different agencies\u2014both government and private\u2014are still working to assist families whose homes and lives have been affected, restore power and water, and clean up the debris left behind.<\/p>\n
