The U.S. Navy will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on Nov. 17-18, from noon to 8pm. The general public, especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators are advised to stay clear of the areas during the dates and times indicated. The general location of the training on the island of Farallon de Medinilla will be on a 10-nautical mile radius on all quadrants. W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising of 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace\u00a0 that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. This exercise tests a rapid deployment capability of first echelon forces that is a critical part of the Marine Corps\u2019 Unit Deployment Program. The North Carolina-based force will fly into the Tinian International Airport aboard a KC-130 and hike to North Field where they will train for two nights. Upon conclusion of their mission, the force will return on foot to the Tinian International Airport and redeploy to Fuji, Japan. <em><strong>(PR)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Report wild bee colonies to UOG WPTRC<\/strong><br \/>\nThe University of Guam Western Pacific Tropical Research Center is requesting the assistance of the public to report wild bee colonies, especially if the\u00a0bees\u00a0are\u00a0a safety concern for neighborhoods or homeowners. WPTRC will remove the problem bees and\u00a0transport\u00a0them to\u00a0a location where beekeepers will be able to tend to them.
