{"id":214745,"date":"2015-11-18T06:06:26","date_gmt":"2015-11-17T20:06:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=214745"},"modified":"2015-11-18T06:06:26","modified_gmt":"2015-11-17T20:06:26","slug":"convicted-sex-offender-arrested-for-another-sex-abuse-of-a-minor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/convicted-sex-offender-arrested-for-another-sex-abuse-of-a-minor\/","title":{"rendered":"Convicted sex offender arrested for another sex abuse of a minor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Price Ekon Shoiter, a 68-year-old registered sex offender, was arrested again on Sunday for allegedly sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl in Dandan.<\/p>\n<p>Shoiter was taken to Superior Court yesterday on charges of sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, assault and battery, disturbing the peace, and offenses involving a minor victim. His bail was set at $50,000 cash. Preliminary hearing is on Nov. 27 at 9am.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Public Defender Douglas Hartig was appointed as counsel for Shoiter.<\/p>\n<p>According to police detective Rhonda C. John, a police officer responded to a residence in Dandan on Sunday at 6:14pm after the Department of Public Safety received a call about a sexual abuse incident.<\/p>\n<p>John said the investigation showed that the girl was sleeping when Shoiter fondled her privates.<\/p>\n<p>The girl told a relative about what Shoiter did, but she was told not to report the incident to her father.
