Sutherland<br \/>\nReporter<\/div>\n<p>Manelos and Natibu recorded separates wins in the men&#8217;s division of the 2nd Annual Budweiser Chamolinian Softball League last week at the Capital Hill Ballfield.<\/p>\n<p>Manelos defeated Berdax in extra inning, 16-13, while Natibu breezed past Elias, 21-10, in five innings. In the lone women&#8217;s game, Check It Out was awarded victory via forfeiture over Enamo Meta.<\/p>\n<p>Pete Tomokane of Manelos broke the 4-all deadlock from the opening frame when he drove in a runner in the top of the third inning. However Berdax&#8217;s Jesse Tenorio knotted the game back at 5-all with a sacrifice fly in the fourth and scored Dave Camacho.<\/p>\n<p>Manelos&#8217; Shane Mendiola led off the fifth inning with a triple and was escorted home by Tomokane before teammate Angel Reyes belted a three-run homer in the next frame.<\/p>\n<p>Berdax bit back and tied it up again at 9-all in the bottom portion off a sacrifice fly by Franco Flores and a three-run shot by Dave Camacho.<\/p>\n<p>The game was then forced into an extra inning after Berdax and Manelos ended up in a stalemate for the fourth time in the last inning of regulation.<\/p>\n<p>In the extension, Manelos&#8217; Derek Aughenbaugh led off with a solo blast and Nicko Martin hammered an RBI double before stealing home in the top half, while Berdax&#8217;s Shine Tenorio delivered a two-run homer, followed by an RBI single from Ton Manibusan.<\/p>\n<p>Manelos then moved around four runs in the bonus frame off five hits, an RBI fielder&#8217;s choice by Mendiola and a sacrifice fly by Reyes; Jay Camacho and Pat Alepuyo bagged RBI singles and Pete hit an RBI double.<\/p>\n<p>Berdax was held to one run in the final stand.<\/p>\n<p>Tomokane batted 5-for-6 with four RBIs and a run. Jay Camacho went 4-for-5 with an RBI, three runs, and a base on balls.<\/p>\n<p>In the other men&#8217;s game, Natibu amassed a 12-4, lead off 11 hits in the first inning and never looked back.<\/p>\n<p>Jerome Delos Santos started the fire with a three-run homer, while B.J. Sablan, Victor Salas, and Erik Kani each bagged two-RBI singles, and Oscar Sablan, Kent Kalen and Jon Welson added RBI singles.<\/p>\n<p>Both teams added three runs in the second inning before Natibu trudged further ahead, 21-7, in the third of another seven hits. Welson bagged an RBI single and Dave Kapileo left the yard for three runs.<\/p>\n<p>Elias managed three runs in its last two chances at the plate, but never postured a real comeback.<\/p>\n<p>Delos Santos swung 3-for-3 with 3 RBIs and another run.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Walter J.
