Eloy S. Inos for project development, is being relieved of his duties, Saipan Tribune learned yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Press secretary Ivan Blanco said the administration has issued a \u201c60 days notice to Special Assistant Ray Mafnas pursuant to his public service contract.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blanco was responding to Saipan Tribune\u2019s request to confirm a news tip received yesterday afternoon that Mafnas had been \u201cfired.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe administration appreciates his dedication and service during his tenure,\u201d Blanco said in an email near press time yesterday. \u201cWe wish him well in his next endeavors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mafnas\u2019 position as special assistant has been described as an integrated type of project development monitoring that would assist different government agencies in consistently reviewing projects that go by their purview.<\/p>\n<p>Mafnas is a former Cabinet member and commissioner of the Department of Corrections and the Department of Public Safety, as well as senior policy adviser for former governor Benigno R.
