Norita, Juan Delos Reyes Tydingco, 39, confessed that he was given the 1.5 gross grams of \u201cice\u201d to sell for $270 by a male Chinese.<\/p>\n<p>His bail was set at $20,000 cash. Preliminary hearing is on Dec. 3, 2015 at 9am.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant public defender Cindy Nesbit was appointed as counsel for Tydingco.<\/p>\n<p>Norita stated in his report that a police sergeant was conducting speed enforcement along Middle Road when his laser speed device tracked a northbound Toyota Corolla with license plate ACH-169 traveling 50 miles per hour near Springs Plaza in Gualo Rai.<\/p>\n<p>The police sergeant chased the car, which then stopped on the shoulder of the road across BEQ Building.<\/p>\n<p>The officer found that the driver was Tydingco, who was with a woman.<\/p>\n<p>Tydingco identified himself as \u201cPaul\u201d and told the officer that he did not have his driver\u2019s license and that the car belonged to a friend.<\/p>\n<p>During a consent search of the car, the officer found two baggies that contained \u201cice\u201d hidden inside the air-conditioning vent.<\/p>\n<p>At first, Tydingco denied owning the baggies of \u201cice,\u201d but later confessed that it was given to him so he could sell it.<\/p>\n<p>The female companion told police that the \u201cice\u201d belonged to Tydingco, who panicked during the violator stop and handed it to her to hide it.<\/p>\n<p>The woman said she hid the baggies in the vent and that Tydingco lied to the officer that his name is \u201cPaul.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Police said the substance tested presumptive positive for \u201cice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Assistant attorney general Barbara Cepeda appeared for the government at the hearing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A speeding motorist was arrested in Gualo Rai after methamphetamine or \u201cice\u201d was allegedly found&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":23,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[162,4710,197,2792],"class_list":["post-215119","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news","tag-car","tag-cindy-nesbit","tag-gualo-rai","tag-springs-plaza"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/215119","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/23"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=215119"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/215119\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=215119"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=215119"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=215119"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
