The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. will be purchasing bucket trucks and equipment to help with their operation.<\/p>\n
At their meeting on Tuesday, the CUC board approved the purchase and delegated chief financial officer Matthew Yaquinto to handle the procurement procedures.<\/p>\n
Up to six bucket trucks and some equipment will be purchased amounting to between $500,000 and $600,000.<\/p>\n
An offer made by Primary Sources from Colorado was mentioned at the meeting.<\/p>\n
Board member Joe Torres said they need to notify Primary Sources of their interest in the offer.<\/p>\n
Last October, six bucket trucks were flown in from Colorado to assist in the rebuilding efforts in the wake of Typhoon Soudelor.<\/p>\n
CUC will be issuing a request for proposal for the purchase of bucket trucks.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe still have to follow procurement rules and issue an RFP, but we just acknowledged that we received the offer,\u201d Yaquinto said in an interview.<\/p>\n
CUC has about four bucket trucks that Yaquinto said are already old.<\/p>\n
