{"id":215425,"date":"2015-11-27T04:00:06","date_gmt":"2015-11-26T18:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=215425"},"modified":"2015-11-27T04:00:06","modified_gmt":"2015-11-26T18:00:06","slug":"community-briefs-nov-27-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/community-briefs-nov-27-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Briefs \u2014 Nov. 27, 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Military training at FDM, Warning Area 517<\/strong><br \/>\nASAN, Guam\u2014The U.S. Air Force and Marine Corps will conduct training at the island of Farallon de Medinilla during the following dates and times:<br \/>\n\u2022 Nov. 30, from noon to 7pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Dec. 2, from 10am to 11pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Dec. 3, from 2-11pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Dec. 4-5, from 2-9pm<br \/>\n\u2022 Dec. 6, from 2-10pm<br \/>\nThe U.S. Navy will conduct training at Warning Area 517 on Dec. 2, from 7pm to 11pm<br \/>\nThe general public, especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators are advised to stay clear of the areas during the dates and times indicated. <em><strong>(JRM)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Limited hours for NMI Judiciary<\/strong><br \/>\nToday, Nov. 27, 2015, the Guma Hustisia on Saipan will have limited hours of operation from 7:30am to 11:30am only. Essential services in the Offices of the Clerk of Court, the Marshal Service Division, and Judicial Chambers will be provided. Minimal staff will be designated to address docket requirements, emergency and related prescheduled matters. The Administrative Services Unit (Casher), Information Systems Unit, Building &amp; Maintenance, Office of the Commonwealth Recorders, Law Revision Commission, and the Judiciary Administrative Office will be closed all day. On Rota and Tinian, the courthouses will be closed all day. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, Nov. 29, 2015. <em><strong>(NMI Judiciary)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>SHEFA sets submission deadlines<\/strong><br \/>\nFor both new and returning applicants of the Saipan Higher Education Financial Assistance, the application deadline for spring 2016 semester is Dec. 1, 2015. Deadline for the submission of the memorandum of agreement and supporting documents is on Feb. 29, 2016. Applications can also be faxed to (670) 235-5996 or emailed to saipanshefa@gmail.com. Ongoing recipients do not need to reapply for this spring term. However, you must submit your official transcript and class schedule for spring 2016 before Feb. 29, 2016. All organization members will participate in the cleanup.
