Antonio Sablan to represent the House on the interagency War on Ice Task Force.<\/p>\n<p>Guerrero told reporters yesterday that Sablan would aid in the enforcement of laws, and also help the new task force, as Sablan is the House chairman on Ways and Means.<\/p>\n<p>Guerrero said the recently established CNMI drug court is intended to provide a program wherein those caught with drugs would be put in programs for rehabilitation so that the CNMI could reduce the number of drug users.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou try to do away with the demand and the supply should be impacted because of that. As long as there is a demand, these traffickers will continue to bring in drugs or ice,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Guerrero called it a multi-pronged operation. \u201cOne would be the users. The other would the traffickers. And the third one would be stopping it at our borders,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In Nov. 17, acting governor Ralph DLG Torres sent a letter to the House to officially request a House representative on the task force. Gov. Eloy S. Inos created the task force through an executive in October.<\/p>\n<p>Torres, in his letter, said the task force\u2019s inaugural meeting would be held on Dec. 4 at the Office of the Governor\u2019s conference room on Capital Hill.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>House Speaker Joseph Deleon Guerrero has named Fiscal Committee chair Rep.
