(MVA)\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>WeChat is a mobile text and voice messaging communication service with 500 million users.The users of WeChat recently voted for eight \u201cLittle Representatives of Saipan\u201d who won a familiarization tour of Saipan this month.<\/p>\n<p>The contest was held by the Marianas Visitors Authority, Zhejiang Rong Ke Zhi Di company, and newspapers Xiaoshan Daily and Qianjiang Evening Paper in the Hangzhou region of China.\u00a0 The kids competed in the areas of language expression, talent and skill, and stage performance in areas promoting tourism resources of the Northern Mariana Islands.<\/p>\n<p>The eight winning children, ages 4 to 12, visited Saipan with their families for a trip that was supported by Sina, website technology company NetEase, and WeChat developer Tencent. The familiarization tour will receive coverage online and via newspapers and radio.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Little Representatives of Saipan\u2019 is a unique promotion created by our China office in collaboration with major supporters to bring attention to the Northern Marianas to a new audience,\u201d said MVA marketing manager Bruce Bateman. \u201cAt this time most of our visitors from China are couples, and we would love to see the percentage of families grow. Our destination has a lot to offer families.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While on Saipan, the group visited various attractions, including beaches, historic sites, and the American Memorial Park. They experienced marine activities, making traditional arts and crafts, and making coconut candy.
