{"id":215986,"date":"2015-12-04T06:00:08","date_gmt":"2015-12-03T20:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=215986"},"modified":"2015-12-04T06:00:08","modified_gmt":"2015-12-03T20:00:08","slug":"dpl-advisory-board-active","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/dpl-advisory-board-active\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018DPL advisory board active\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Members of the Department of Public Lands board met informally with acting DPL secretary Patricia Rasa yesterday to, among other issues, ask her to follow up on a governor appointee to be \u201cfully constituted,\u201d said William Torres, who represents the Northern Islands on the board.<\/p>\n<p>The other board members are David Evangelista Jr. from Tinian, Henry Hofschneider from Saipan, and Antonio Quitugua from Rota. They are appointed by municipal mayors.<\/p>\n<p>There has been a clamor from House lawmakers for the need for a DPL advisory board, to among other things, push a slow-going homestead program forward.<\/p>\n<p>Torres told Saipan Tribune that board members were meeting with Rep. Joseph Leepan Guerrero, who has been outspoken against DPL Secretary Pete A.
