{"id":216495,"date":"2015-12-11T06:06:14","date_gmt":"2015-12-10T20:06:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=216495"},"modified":"2015-12-11T06:06:14","modified_gmt":"2015-12-10T20:06:14","slug":"tinian-dynastys-casino-to-reopen-tuesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/tinian-dynastys-casino-to-reopen-tuesday\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinian Dynasty\u2019s casino to reopen Tuesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino has gotten the go-signal to reopen its casino floor on Tuesday, Dec. 15, from the Tinian Casino Gaming and Control Commission.<\/p>\n<p>In a phone interview yesterday afternoon, TCGCC executive director Lucy Blanco-Maratita confirmed the news. The application to reopen had been waiting approval from TCGCC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe commission has approved it for that date,\u201d said Blanco-Maratita.<\/p>\n<p>She added that the casino still had to meet the conditions of the application, but that it had been approved.<\/p>\n<p>In an earlier interview, Maratita listed some of these conditions, among others, include:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Payment of table and slot machine fees and outstanding taxes from last fiscal year, starting in August;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Payment of unpaid employee salaries or a plan on how they will repay these employees\u2019 back wages;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Assurance that they will continue to contract services with Spectrum Gaming, a consultant, for casino management to help the casino maintain compliance;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Identification and disclosure of the source of funds for its reopening.<\/p>\n<p>The casino, if it reopens, will not be a 24-hour operation, Maratita earlier said.<\/p>\n<p>It will open from 11am to 3am the following morning, and close between those hours, except for Friday through Saturday, where they will be open for 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>The Tinian casino is operated by the Tinian Dynasty.
