Monroyo)<br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Saipan Swim Club and Tsunami Saipan swimmers showed little or no rust at all despite a long break as majority of them posted personal best times in the 100m freestyle race during last Saturday\u2019s SSC Double Distance Meet at the Kan Pacific Swimming Pool.<\/p>\n<p>Thirty-four swimmers from the two clubs, which only had their first official competition after more than three months due to Typhoon Soudelor, got PBTs with those entered in the boys 9 to 10 age group registering the most PBTs at six. SSC\u2019s Jinnosuke Suzuki was the fastest in the group, timing in at 1:11.03, more than two seconds better than his old PBT of 1:13.90. Other PBT-getters in the division were Tsunami Saipan\u2019s Anthony Camacho-Deleon Guerrero (1:12.56), Isaiah Aleksenko (1:16.11), Hans Xu (1:18.84), and Arman Rechucher (1:38.64) and SSC\u2019s Taiyo Akimaru (1:18.21).<\/p>\n<p>In the boys U8 age group, Tsunami Saipan\u2019s Aasish Dangol clocked in at 1:42.05 to reset his PBT (1:58.05), while SSC\u2019s Wataru Kadokura and Robert De Courteny had the same achievement after recording 1:54.38 and 1:57.95, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In the boys 11 to 12 age group, four made PBTs with SSC\u2019s Lennosuke Suzuki leading the way with his 1:04.07 (from 1:07.23). Lennosuke\u2019s teammate Akira Kadokura\u2019s new PBT is 1:28.94, while Tsunami Saipan\u2019s Juhn Tenorio and Rentaro Suzuki\u2019s PBTs read at 1:14.49 and 1:34.64, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In the boys 13 to 14 age group, Tsunami Saipan\u2019s Mark Maestro bested two SSC bets with his PBT of 1:06.34. SSC\u2019s Taiga Sato submitted a PBT of 1:08.59 and R.J. Pierce logged 1:14.00.<\/p>\n<p>In the 15 to 16 division, all three SSC members earned PBTs with Kento Akimaru posting 1:00.00, Christian Villacrusis tallying 1:04.21, and David Boyer timing in at 1:05.37.<\/p>\n<p>There were also three entries in the 17-and-over age group and Tsunami Saipan\u2019s Takumi Sugie was one of them, notching the fastest time in the entire field with his 59.72 seconds. Sugie\u2019s previous PBT was 1:00.61. SSC\u201ds Salofi Welch and Caleb Wang finished behind Sugie, but bagged PBTs of 1:05.54 and 1:08.30, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In the girls division, Tsunami Saipan\u2019s Maria Batallones\u2019 PBT of 1:48.69 best the 1:48.74 PBT of SSC\u2019s Andrei Kaith Lynn Chavez, while in the 17-and-over age group, Tsunami Saipan\u2019s Daime Rivera also posted a PBT with her 1:23.10.<\/p>\n<p>In the 9 to 10 age group, four Tsunami Saipan swimmers got PBTs. The list includes Ashley Dangol (1:14.01), Nanaka Watanabe (1:18.42), Kana Suzuki (1:33.90), and Asaka Litulumar (1:38.29). Nanaka\u2019s older sister, Aika was one of the three PBT getters in the girls 11 to 12 age group as the latter clocked in at 1:14.54.
