Lots of wise words and heart wishes and thanksgivings were combined with a nice meal, dancing and singing competitions. Everyone who was active and joyful got an award.

Then Best Sunshine offered us a big program of entertainment, handing out gifts and warm words, so much so that the man’amko felt moved. After about 10 days, their Guamanian singer representative visited us and sang almost like Frank Sinatra, reaching hearts and reminding people of the olden golden days.

A big group of students from Korea paid their respects as well. They did a nice performance of traditional Christmas songs. A special thanks to them for finding time! After rendering their best wishes, the Korean students went around the complex and did cleanup work. It is really moving because people act this way when they visit their own grandmas and grandpas!

A few days ago, the Department of Corrections staff found time to come to the Man’amko Center and express their positive feelings with singing and dancing. It was really entertaining and our elderly are going to remember the event for a long, long time.

Our Monday got bright with the Saipan Bike Riders’ show of respect. Then we enjoyed the Class of ’73 performance of our beloved songs and tunes. We danced and gratefully accepted the gifts. The young ladies and gentlemen from Kagman High School Carolinian Club also contributed a lot to elevate our mood with Christmas songs.

So the man’amko are full of pleasant worries now. Who knows what kind of nice people, groups and organizations will be visiting us in the coming days. We are open to all of them and offer our sincere thanks! We believe that, in this new year, our economy will turn even more prosperous and we will live even wiser and healthier. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
