Inos yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>During their board meeting at the college, the regents adopted the resolution to honor Inos\u2019 life and service as he had \u201cunreservedly dedicated his life to public service and whose leadership has enhanced the educational landscape in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and improved the lives of all residents of the CNMI.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Inos passed away last Dec. 29 and was laid to rest just last Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Present at the adoption of the resolution were Inos\u2019 daughters, Dora Anne Inos Deleon Guerrero and Christine Mae Inos, who appreciated the move of the board.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution noted that \u201cInos\u2019 professional career has been defined by a distinguished record of advancing the public good, having occupied numerous offices, roles, and positions where he worked tirelessly to make government effective and make the delivery of public service efficient.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It also noted Inos\u2019 rise to leadership positions in both private and public sectors prior to being elected as the head of state of the CNMI.<\/p>\n<p>The board also took note of Inos\u2019 support and encouragement for the college, enabling them to achieve accreditation reaffirmation and other milestone accomplishments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring his term as lieutenant governor and then later governor, Gov. Inos has continued to support the Northern Marianas College, especially during a time when the college faced one of its most difficult challenges and was placed on show cause status,\u201d the resolution reads. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernor Inos has never ceased to be a steadfast supporter of the mission of Northern Marianas College to advance the lives of all Commonwealth residents by providing high quality, affordable, and accessible postsecondary programs and services,\u201d it adds.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution added that NMC and all its students, employees and Board of Regents commend the years of service and contributions that Inos has given to the Commonwealth over his lifetime and consider his passing as a \u201csignificant loss\u201d for the college, the CNMI, and the entire Pacific region. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Board of Regents wishes to ensure that Gov.
