{"id":219202,"date":"2016-01-22T04:00:32","date_gmt":"2016-01-21T18:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=219202"},"modified":"2016-01-22T04:00:32","modified_gmt":"2016-01-21T18:00:32","slug":"cuc-continues-to-fill-important-vacant-positions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/cuc-continues-to-fill-important-vacant-positions\/","title":{"rendered":"CUC continues to fill important vacant positions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. is continuing its efforts to fill some of the vacant positions in the company.<\/p>\n<p>In a meeting yesterday, CUC acting executive director Gary Camacho reported to the board that they have chosen an individual for the position of \u201cdrinking water and wastewater division manager.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The said position is a stipulated order position. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have selected an individual. We have communicated with him, and we have sent a copy of a contract to him for review for a couple of days and to return with his decision,\u201d Camacho said. <\/p>\n<p>He added that they expect to hear from the chosen candidate today or on Saturday. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat person is off-island,\u201d Camacho said in an interview.<\/p>\n<p>Another stipulated order position which is the \u201cpetroleum and compliance manager,\u201d also known as technical manager for oil, was recently filled by CUC after Maximino Simian was hired for the position.<\/p>\n<p>Simian was CUC\u2019s environmental and remediation manager for power generation prior to being hired as TMO.<\/p>\n<p>He is a registered professional geologist and has 14 years of experience in the field. Simian also worked for the CNMI Division of Environmental Quality.<\/p>\n<p>As for the human resources manager position, Camacho said the person is on island. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI did communicate with the top two,\u201d Camcaho said during the meeting, \u201cWe\u2019re going to move to offer to one of them.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>CUC\u2019s HR manager position has been vacant since July.
