Monroyo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Ace Hardware and Mobil\/JP World earned their second straight win after prevailing in their respective games in the  2016 Emon Lodge No. 179 Brotherhood\/IT&amp;E Basketball League last Sunday at the Civic Center Basketball Court.<\/p>\n<p>Mobil\/JP World, which won the league\u2019s opener last Jan. 3 with a 94-74 rout of MJD Enterprises, made it two in a row following an 85-76 triumph against Shirley\u2019s Coffee Shop (1-1) in last weekend\u2019s curtain-raiser. Ace Hardware also moved up to a 2-0 mark to join Mobil\/JP World in the early lead after whipping GPPC (1-1), 82-55, in the second match.<\/p>\n<p>Both Ace Hardware and Mobil\/JP World played better in the second half to cruise to victory.<\/p>\n<p>Ace Hardware was only up by 8 at halftime, 38-30, before taking a baker\u2019s dozen lead after the third period, 55-42. Sidney Quan led Ace\u2019s third-quarter assault, scoring 8 straight markers midway in that period.<\/p>\n<p>Then in the final canto, Jethro Cruz closed out for Ace, knocking in the team\u2019s last 8 markers, including a banked triple in the closing seconds of the match.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz went on to top-score for Ace Hardware with his 19 points.
