Dotson, chief development officer of the Hawaii Red Cross Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to acting governor Victor B. Hocog.<\/p>\n<p>The visit was part of the delegation\u2019s mission to follow up on areas that recently experienced disasters that the ARC played a major role in the recovery efforts.\u00a0 \u201cI am impressed by the resiliency of your people,\u201d said Matayoshi expressing her sentiments to Hocog of the community\u2019s efforts in recovering from the devastation of Typhoon Soudelor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur fundraising efforts and donations from generous benefactors are really the driving force that helped the NMI Chapter provide the services after the typhoon. We will continue to provide those types of assistance because of such support,\u201d added John Hirsch, executive director for the Red Cross NMI Chapter.<\/p>\n<p>Hocog expressed the CNMI\u2019s appreciation to Jordan and the team for their visit and the level of support from the ARC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you very much. During our time of need, the local chapter along with the support from the off-island ARC members gave us hope that we were not alone.
