{"id":220365,"date":"2016-02-08T06:06:10","date_gmt":"2016-02-07T20:06:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=220365"},"modified":"2016-02-08T06:06:10","modified_gmt":"2016-02-07T20:06:10","slug":"mcfun-run-set-for-feb-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/mcfun-run-set-for-feb-20\/","title":{"rendered":"McFun Run set for Feb. 20"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The annual McFun Run will be held by the Rotary Club of Saipan and the McDonald\u2019s Family Restaurants of Saipan this month.<\/p>\n<p>The event is set for Feb. 20, a Saturday, at 6:15am.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the Rotary Club aims to double the amount of funds they were able to raise last year. Nearly 200 joined the McFun Run last year and the club was able to raise around $3,000.<\/p>\n<p>Like the previous year, there will be a 5K and 10K run. This year, the run will start and end at the Carolinian Utt in Garapan. <\/p>\n<p>The 5K turn around will be in front of STAR Water in Beach Road, and the 10K turnaround will be in front of Oleai Beach Bar and Grill.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from individual runs, the organizers also added a group category called \u201cI\u2019m Loving It\u201d team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe did a little twist this year,\u201d Rotary president Curtis Dancoe said, \u201cWe\u2019ve set up two categories. The first one is the individual category and the second one is a team category. The team category represents 10 people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Rotary Club will be conducting an awards ceremony as well as draw raffle prizes after the run.
