{"id":221394,"date":"2016-02-22T06:06:31","date_gmt":"2016-02-21T20:06:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=221394"},"modified":"2016-02-22T06:06:31","modified_gmt":"2016-02-21T20:06:31","slug":"cuc-hires-orsini-hr-manager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/cuc-hires-orsini-hr-manager\/","title":{"rendered":"CUC hires Orsini as HR manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has hired a new human resources manager.<\/p>\n<p>According to CUC acting executive director Gary Camacho, their new HR manager is Andrew Orsini.<\/p>\n<p>Orsini started officially on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>He was a former Civil Service Commission executive director and served the grievance division chief of the Office of Personnel Management. He was also a former Northern Marianas College Board of Regents member.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s with CUC now and he\u2019ll assist in all these matters, with HR matters,\u201d Camacho said, \u201cHe\u2019ll help us out with all our CWs, we\u2019re not going to be behind anymore in all our CWs, we\u2019re going to be ahead and we\u2019re going to try the water with the personnel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Camacho said having an HR manager will be beneficial to their employees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re pleased to have him on board because the staff development is obviously an issue in the technical industry we\u2019re in. CUC is highly technical in a variety of different ways. We need someone who can focus in on our resource, local labor resource, and try to heighten their skill level through a responsible development program,\u201d Camacho said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a void that has been there since Frank Cepeda left and we\u2019re filling it and we expect it to be beneficial to the employees,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Cepeda left CUC in July last year. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Commonwealth Utilities Corp. has hired a new human resources manager.
