(Contributed Photo)

Following through with the company’s commitment to initiate participation in viable beautification projects throughout the islands, Best Sunshine International, Ltd. CSR directors Rita Chong and Geri Dela Cruz held a presentation before members of the Rotary Club of Saipan last Feb. 23 at the Giovani’s restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Saipan.

Delineating the accomplishments of the company’s corporate social responsibility, Chong and Dela Cruz delivered to the non-profit organization the objectives and current projects involved in BSI’s self-initiated Village Pride Project. Totaling 13 villages served henceforward, the CSR team also discussed the future goal of the project, which is to encourage the villagers to lead in each of their beautification efforts.

Introducing the CSR group encompassing the Village Pride Project, Dela Cruz says, “We are a group of home-grown individuals dedicated solely for the social good of the CNMI, passionate about bringing about the goal of the inafamaolek and tipiyeew pride.”

Chong adds, “Inafamaolek and tipiyeew are Chamorro and Refaluwasch words which means to take care of each other and to preserve unity. Our goal is to instill and preserve that pride as our corporate vision when we got together to create this department under Best Sunshine. We wanted to ensure that our mission reflects our island’s culture, which works to serve, strengthen and build a better CNMI for all the world to see.”

Rotary Club of Saipan president Curtis Dancoe, says, “I think to see this CSR group come together and what it represents in our community is something that we need. Certainly, we are really appreciative of all the services Best Sunshine provides in beautifying the community villages and we honor Best Sunshine’s organization. We are synonymous in the same respect on what the Rotary does in the community and we hope we can work on some projects together in the future. I’ve seen what Best Sunshine’s CSR team is doing whenever I’m driving around the island. We rely a lot on our government to do these types of improvement, but to see it come from a private company such as Best Sunshine shows how they’re taking a lot of pride and care in our community. ”

Following through with the company’s commitment to initiate participation in viable beautification projects throughout the…

[4
1707,8034,5738,6990
post-221631","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-best-sunshine-international","tag-csr","tag-curtis-dancoe","tag-geri-dela-cruz
["GET
