In celebration of Marianas Visitors Authority\u2019s 40th anniversary, the visitor\u2019s bureau has launched an Instagram contest under the hashtag #MVA40 to promote tourism.<\/p>\n
The contest, running March 1 through Dec. 31, 2016, features a different theme each month and will award a gift certificate or other prizes valued at $25 for the most \u201cliked\u201d photo on Instagram fitting the month\u2019s theme.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe always say \u2018tourism is everybody\u2019s business,\u2019 so this year\u2019s celebration of the MVA\u2019s 40th anniversary is an opportunity for our community to win some great prizes demonstrating how they\u2019re engaged int he industry,\u201d said MVA managing director Perry Tenorio. \u201cWe look forward to the public\u2019s participation in the contest.\u201d<\/p>\n
No purchase is necessary. To enter the contest, access Instagram and post a photo using the hashtag #MVA40. Monthly themes will be:<\/p>\n

\t\u2022\tApril \u2013Post a picture of the Saipan Marathon<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tMay \u2013Post a picture of the Taste of the Marianas<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tJune \u2013Post a picture at a popular tourist site<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tJuly \u2013Post a picture with a tourist<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tAugust \u2013Post a picture with Saipan-da<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tSeptember \u2013Post a picture of the International Festival of Cultures<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tOctober \u2013Post a picture of local culture<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tNovember \u2013Post a picture of community<\/p>\n
\t\u2022\tDecember \u2013Post a picture of the Christmas in the Marianas<\/p>\n
Each photo must have the hashtag #MVA40.
