Saipan Mayor David M. Apatang and the Northern Marianas Humanities Council are inviting CNMI veterans to a meeting today, March 1, 9:30am at the Mayor\u2019s Office located in Ladera Center Building, Chalan Laulau. <\/p>\n
The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about an upcoming Humanities Council event called a \u201cFireside Chat,\u201d that will allow younger veterans to meet and share experiences with older veterans from World War II and Korea and Vietnam conflicts in an enjoyable and informal setting. <\/p>\n
The Fireside Chat will be held on the evening of Sunday, March 13, 2016, at the American Memorial Park Beachside Pavilion. <\/p>\n
In addition to sharing experiences, participating veterans will be provided with an overview of services and benefits to which they are entitled. <\/p>\n
Veterans will also be invited to participate in a second, related event that will allow veterans to talk about their individual experiences through stories and photos. The selected stories and photos will be displayed in a traveling exhibit to be launched on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 2016. <\/p>\n
