The Commonwealth Development Authority will be kicking off its month-long 30th anniversary celebration this March.<\/p>\n
CDA was established through Public Law 4-49 signed by former governor Pedro Tenorio on May 31, 1985 with its functions to be carried out by two divisions\u2014the Development Banking Division and the Development Corporation Division.<\/p>\n
However, CDA postponed celebrating due to the event that happened last year including Typhoon Soudelor.<\/p>\n
A budget of $20,000 was approved for their anniversary project.<\/p>\n
This will be the first time that CDA will hold a big celebration to mark their three decades of service.<\/p>\n
To kick off, CDA will speak on the radio today to talk about their programs.<\/p>\n
CDA will also hold open houses every Monday of this month. <\/p>\n
They will also hold a stakeholders\u2019 meeting for each of the island starting on March 8 for Tinian at their Nothern Marianas College campus, followed by Saipan on March 10 at the Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center, and on Rota on March 16 at the NMC campus there.<\/p>\n
CDA\u2019s business plan competition will have its participants present their entries on Nov. 18.<\/p>\n
A profit mastery workshop will be held on Mar. 22 to 23, in partnership with the Saipan Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n
CDA will close its celebrations on March 30 and 31 with a logo ranking and a raffle draw.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
