(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Marianas Visitors Authority joined representatives from other countries and regions at the Guangdong International Travel Fair on Feb. 25-27, 2016, in Guangzhou, China.<\/p>\n<p>Over 120,000 attended this year\u2019s fair, \u201cone of the most influential B2Bfairs focusing on outbound travel, inbound travel, and MICE travel,\u201d according the event\u2019s official website.<\/p>\n<p>The MVA joined the Brand USA Pavilion with industry partners Dynasty Holidays and Best Sunshine International, Ltd. where the team distributed information and brochures to promote the Northern Mariana Islands (NMI) as a world-class destination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGuangdong is one of the China\u2019s largest cities and one of the NMI\u2019s largest source cities,\u201d said MVA deputy managing director Judy Torres. \u201cThe Guangdong International Travel Fair was an important opportunity to forge and reinforce industry partnerships and share more of what our islands have to offer to potential visitors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to paying courtesy visits at Tuniu.com, Qulv.com, GZL and Dynasty Holidays, the MVA had media interviews with Guangzhou Daily newspaper, Holiday Media, and FM106.1radio. Several other mass media and travel trade media outlets extolled the appeal of the beautiful beaches and ocean on Saipan and their desire to visit Tinian and Rota in the near future.  <\/p>\n<p>The appeal of the NMI as a destination where families can enjoy leisure activities in a clean environment was noted, and the potential for \u201csister schools,\u201d student exchange, and cultural programswas also raised.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s fair attracted 956 exhibitors from 45 countries and regions.
