The University of Guam Chamorro Studies Program held its annual \u201cInacha\u2019igen Fino\u2019 CHamoru\u201d or Chamorro Language Competition last March 8 and 9 at the UOG campus. Hundreds of students from both private and public schools throughout the Marianas gathered to compete in categories that tested their knowledge of speaking, reading, writing, and singing in the Chamorro language. <\/p>\n
The theme of the competition was “I Fino\u2019 CHamoru: I Guinaha-ta, Iyo-ta yan Ta Fan\u00e1na\u2019I (The Chamorro Language: Our Abundance and Ours to Share with One Another).”<\/p>\n
