{"id":225307,"date":"2016-04-13T04:00:56","date_gmt":"2016-04-12T18:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=225307"},"modified":"2016-04-13T04:00:56","modified_gmt":"2016-04-12T18:00:56","slug":"225307","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/225307\/","title":{"rendered":"More companies sign on as major sponsors of Green Gala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Showing their support for conserving the islands\u2019 natural resources, several businesses recently made donations ranging between $1,000 and $3,000 to the Micronesia Islands Nature Alliance.<\/p>\n<p>These donations were made as part of MINA\u2019s annual fundraising event, the Green Gala, which will be held on May 27. Hofschneider Engineering, LLC now joins Chong\u2019s Corporation and The Shack as some of this year\u2019s Major Sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>The leading conservation nonprofit organization in the Commonwealth, MINA has worked to implement various conservation projects, including the Plastic Bag Challenge, the Schools for Environmental Conservation workshops, the Marine Debris Prevention program, Tasi Watch Program, the Adopt-A-Bin Project, and Managaha Pride Campaign.<\/p>\n<p>In order to continue its efforts to preserve and protect the CNMI\u2019s environment and biodiversity, MINA is seeking the community\u2019s participation in the Green Gala event.
