The large group is expected to arrive at 2pm Saturday and will be spending three days as part of the club\u2019s cultural exchange program.<\/p>\n<p>Rotary Saipan president Curtis Dancoe and other members will be welcoming the group at around 3pm at the Francisco C. Ada\/Saipan International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are here to share with our cultural exchange program and for fellowship between two Rotary clubs,\u201d said Dancoe during their meeting last Tuesday at the Giovanni\u2019s restaurant at he Hyatt Regency Saipan.<\/p>\n<p>The Rotary Club of Saipan will also be hosting a complimentary barbecue dinner for the Japanese delegation starting at 6pm at the beach side of the Hyatt.<\/p>\n<p>Dancoe said the Rotary Saipan\u2019s Japanese counterpart would also discuss on how to assist them with more projects in the future. \u201cThey plan to do more projects with us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rotary\u2019s Tokyo Hachioji South club has also donated more than $2,500 in the CNMI\u2019s Typhoon Soudelor recovery fund.<\/p>\n<p>Early this year, the Rotary Club of Saipan and Tokyo Hachioji South had a cultural Youth Exchange Program involving two high school students.<\/p>\n<p>Cousins Andrea Camacho and Coleen Triana Duenas, the Interact Club presidents of Kagman and Marianas high schools, respectively, represented the local club from Jan. 18 to 24.<\/p>\n<p>It was Tokyo Hachioji South\u2019s turn last month with high school students Shiori Koiki and Riko Yamamura visiting Saipan where they met with Interact Club members and learned about the local culture.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Rotary Club of Saipan will be hosting a 50-member delegation from sister club Tokyo&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":48,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[10534,9627,11045,11046],"class_list":["post-225951","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-local-news","tag-interact-club","tag-rotary-saipan","tag-tokyo-hachioji-south","tag-youth-exchange-program"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/225951","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/48"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=225951"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/225951\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=225951"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=225951"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=225951"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
