Registration of kindergarten students for school year 2016-2017 at Garapan Elementary School began last Wednesday, April 20.<\/p>\n
The registration times are from 8am to 4pm at the GES library.<\/p>\n
New students registration for grades 1 to 6, meanwhile, will begin on June 13, 2016.<\/p>\n
The requirements for registration include the following:<\/p>\n
-Birth certificate<\/p>\n
-School Entrance Health Certificate from CHC or a private clinic (If you have an appointment slip please provide the school with a copy showing the appointment date)<\/p>\n
-Copy of updated Health Insurance (Medicaid, Moylan\u2019s, Traders, Aetna, Staywell, etc.)<\/p>\n
-Map to residence (please be aware of the zoning policy).<\/p>\n
-GES also reminded parents and guardians of the following:<\/p>\n
-Child must be 5 years old to enter kindergarten by Sept. 30, 2016. Dates of birth must be on or before Sept. 30, 2011.<\/p>\n
-Child must be 6 years old to enter first grade by Sept. 30, 2016. Dates of birth must be before Sept. 30, 2010.<\/p>\n
GES Zoning include the villages and areas of the following:<\/p>\n
-Garapan<\/p>\n
-Navy Hill <\/p>\n
-China Town<\/p>\n
-Beach Road (up to Marianas Eye Institute)<\/p>\n
-Gualo Rai (Northern side-MARPAC side of the street and not southside of Gualo Rai\u2014pass the traffic light and other side of MARPAC).<\/p>\n
-Puerto Rico (Not areas pass Shell Gas Station Puerto Rico)<\/p>\n
GES reminded parents and guardians that a student\u2019s registration will not be entertained without all required documents. All documents must be updated!<\/p>\n
