{"id":226165,"date":"2016-04-25T06:06:16","date_gmt":"2016-04-24T20:06:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=226165"},"modified":"2016-04-25T06:06:16","modified_gmt":"2016-04-24T20:06:16","slug":"community-briefs-april-25-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/community-briefs-april-25-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Community Briefs &#8211; April 25, 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Military to conduct training at W-517<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ASAN, Guam\u2014The U.S. military will conduct training at Warning Area 517 April 25-28 from noon to 10pm.\t<\/p>\n<p>The general public, especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators, are advised to stay clear of the area during the dates and times indicated.<\/p>\n<p>W-517 is an irregular shaped polygon comprising of 14,000 nautical square miles of airspace  that begins south of Guam and extends south-southwest in international waters. W-517 supports surface and aerial gunnery, missiles, and laser exercises. <\/p>\n<p>For more information, contact the Joint Region Marianas Public Affairs Office at (671) 349-4055\/3209. (PR)<\/p>\n<p><strong>KagES now accepting kindergarten registration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kagman Elementary School is now accepting new application for kindergarten for school year 2016-2017. Registration for kindergarten has started on April 11 and will end on May 13, 2016. Kindergarten registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please come to KagES main office from 8:30am to 3:30pm to register your child. <\/p>\n<p>The following documents are needed to complete the student registration process:<\/p>\n<p>-Complete Registration Form (required)<\/p>\n<p>-Student Health Certificate (original\/required)<\/p>\n<p>-Legal Guardianship\/Power of Attorney (if applicable)<\/p>\n<p>Please note: Any child may be admitted to kindergarten at the beginning of a school year if the child\u2019s 5th birthday occurs on or before Sept. 30 of the school year for which the application is made.
