{"id":226216,"date":"2016-04-25T06:06:29","date_gmt":"2016-04-24T20:06:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/?p=226216"},"modified":"2016-04-25T06:06:29","modified_gmt":"2016-04-24T20:06:29","slug":"mypros-celebrates-first-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saipantribune.com\/index.php\/mypros-celebrates-first-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"MyPros celebrates first anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ahead of a spectacular first year anniversary event this Saturday, the Marianas Young Professional, or MyPros, has scheduled a series of events this week to promote the continued professional growth of young people in the local community.<\/p>\n<p>Today, Monday April 25, a \u201cYoung Professionals Week Proclamation\u201d signing event will be held at the Office of the Governor\u2019s conference room at 9am, followed by a round-table discussion with Gov. Ralph DLG Torres, also the youngest sitting governor in the nation.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, MyPros will conduct a legislative presentation to lawmakers on what\u2019s needed for young professionals to succeed, what resources are necessary to elevate millennial into higher paying positions, and how the community can better support burgeoning professionals and young entrepreneurs, among other salient topics.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, April 27, MyPros will hold a workshop focused on careers and resume writing, among others. The workshop\u2014located at the Joeten Kiyu Public Library and starting at 5:30pm\u2014is suited for anyone who is interested in self-assessing their skills, strengths, and goals. <\/p>\n<p>Free professional photos for attendees are also available from 5pm to 5:45pm by local photographer Daisuke Yanai.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, April 28, young professionals will visit school campuses and designated classrooms to share their journeys and\/or talk to junior high and high school students about what students envision the future of the CNMI to look like and what they can accomplish together.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, April 29, the Team MYPros will show their team spirit and join the fight against cancer in the first ever \u201cRock Paper Scissors\u201d Tournament. Flyers, drinks, and MYPros \u201cCheer Gear\u201d will be provided.
