Northern Marianas College\u2019s 13th Annual Foundation Opening was a great success. The event was held on Saturday, April 30, with over 90 participants raising $60,000 for Typhoon Soudelor repairs, as well as improving secondary education programs. Triple J Motors provided the hole-in-one prize of a brand new, 2016 Mazda 3 Hatchback, and Sandy Beach Homes, a Triple J real estate affiliate, donated $2,500 to the opening.<\/p>\n

On Aug. 4, 2015, Typhoon Soudelor devastated the college, the only (WASC) Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) accredited school in the CNMI, causing millions of dollars in damage. \u201cWe are proud to help NMC recover from Soudelor. We want to provide amazing opportunities to our youth and education is the first step to a successful career,\u201d Sophie Dela Cruz, manager of Sandy Beach Homes, remarked.<\/p>\n
