An allegedlly intoxicated 39-year-old man twice pushed his 76-year-old father hard for failing to give him money and for denting a car at their residence in Oleai last week. <\/p>\n

When police responded, suspect Dennis Laniyo Norita, already fled the scene aboard a pickup truck belonging to the government. <\/p>\n

At a hearing yesterday, Superior Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho imposed a $5,000 cash bail and set the preliminary hearing for May 23 at 9am.<\/p>\n

Assistant public defender Tillman Clark was appointed as counsel for Norita. Assistant attorney general Shannon Foley appeared for the government.<\/p>\n

Police Detective Peter A. Aldan stated in his report that investigation showed that the 76-year-old victim was resting on his bed last May 8 when his son, Norita, arrived at 10:30pm aboard a government pickup truck. <\/p>\n

Norita asked money from his father. The father told him that he already gave his money to his younger brother to buy cigarettes.<\/p>\n

Norita allegedly got mad and pushed his father with his right hand on the chest, almost causing the old man to fall.<\/p>\n

The father said he was scared because his son was not only drunk, but looked high on drugs. <\/p>\n

The old man then cried as he felt pain in his chest. <\/p>\n

Norita then asked who owns the white Toyota Corolla parked outside the house. The father replied that the car belongs to his Bangladeshi tenant. <\/p>\n

Norita went outside, picked up a hollow block and threatened to shatter the car\u2019s windshield if his father would not give him money.<\/p>\n

The old man, who was then sitting on a wheelchair by the front door of the house, pleaded to his son not to break the car\u2019s windshield.<\/p>\n

The old man said his Bangladeshi tenant allowed him to use the car for Mother\u2019s Day, the following day.<\/p>\n

Norita instead punched the car\u2019s hood and the trunk\u2019s lid, causing dents. The old man shouted for help, calling his other son, who resides next door.<\/p>\n

Norita allegedly approached his father and pushed him hard on the chest.<\/p>\n

Norita stated he\u2019s not scared of police and that he would come back and beat him up and his tenant. <\/p>\n

Norita then left the house driving the same government pickup truck. <\/p>\n

Aldan said Norita was shaking in fear as he waited for police to arrive.<\/p>\n

Aldan said the victim also disclosed that last January, Norita also smashed the front windshield and driver\u2019s side window of his car with a hollow block when he did not give him money. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
