Best Sunshine International, Ltd. recruitment officials handed more than 80 letters of intent to applicants in last Friday\u2019s recruitment day held from 9am to 5pm at Fiesta Resort & Spa-Saipan\u2019s Azucena Banquet Hall. They also made an offer of immediate employment to 10 individuals.<\/p>\n

BSI is looking to fill more than 500 jobs in time for the opening of the first phase of their integrated resort on Saipan. There\u2019s no exact day of the opening but they said that they are targeting it in January 2017.<\/p>\n

Individuals who received letters of intent are already hired and will be among the first batch of trainees set either for October or November. The training, however, would depend if construction of Phase 1 would be done by January.<\/p>\n

Talent acquisition officials said they find it challenging in sifting through and interviewing lots of applicants but it is an exciting opportunity for the people and the community. They added they immediately inform the applicants if they are hired or not.<\/p>\n

Vicente Manibusan is among the applicants that received a letter of intent. The 20-year-old said he is looking forward to work with BSI and was elated to learn that the company has a basketball team. BSI\u2019s basketball team has been playing in several leagues on the island.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like playing basketball. Hopefully I can play with the team and do my share inside the court,\u201d said the lanky big man who previously played under Shirley\u2019s and McDonald\u2019s. \u201cThe letter of intent guarantees you a spot for employment and could start training.\u201d<\/p>\n

He applied as a cage cashier but earned a letter of intent as a front office agent with one reason being his 6\u20193\u201d built. \u201cI like dealing with customers. I learned about the job fair from some of my relatives who are now working here.\u201d<\/p>\n

BSI also offered free refreshments and light snacks to all applicants while they wait for their turn to be interviewed by talent acquisition officials.<\/p>\n

BSI is looking to fill the laundry manager and attendant, housekeeping attendant, public area cleaner, wardrobe attendant, seamstress, front office agent, valet attendant, bell person, kitchen steward, gardener, floral processor, pool attendant, and health club attendant for hotel operations. An administrative assistant, VIP drivers, and tour operators for the hospitality department; servers, runners, bartenders, bar backs, Demi and Commis chefs (Western\/Chinese cuisines) for food and beverage; and one purchasing manager are also needed.<\/p>\n
