The event was held at Hopwood Jr. High School with a record 18 teams participating. Triple J and all affiliated companies raised a total of $7,000 with fundraising efforts that included Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog sales event at Saipan Little League games, $1 donations for every ice tea sold at Triple J restaurants, donations with every car sold at Triple J Motors, donations for every car rented at Hertz, and MMAC tent games and bento box sales at the event.

Triple J Guam is very active in the annual Relay for Life event, which MMAC is based on. Kris Lujan, Triple J’s VP of Marketing and Public Relations stated, “It is important for us as a family owned enterprise to support cancer outreach and prevention efforts; our business focus has always been on giving back to those who have helped us prosper, and the Jones family, like most families have been affected by cancer. There is no greater feeling than standing alongside organizations who are committed to fighting the good fight until the very end, from prevention at an early age, to being a support system to those who are afflicted, to helping fund research.”

3J For Life chose “I will Survive” for the introduction team song and used ’70s inspired decorations for their tent. Mario Valentino, a Triple J volunteer and employee, stated, “the song is not only uplifting, but can also be considered an anthem for those that have survived cancer as well as the family and friends left behind from a tragic loss.” Over 50 Triple J volunteers attended the event, showing solidarity with the community and support for the cause.

This year Triple J Saipan had the honor of participating in the Marianas March Against…

[4
162,11609,9749,322
post-228216","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-car","tag-famous-hot-dog","tag-mario-valentino","tag-mmac
["GET
