In attendance were nearly 40 volunteers from various parts of the community, which included visiting volunteer, Guo, who flew in specifically to offer his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of event organization and management.

The volunteers program is a great way for community members to get involved in the CNMI’s largest and longest running annual event. This year, Skywalker in cooperation with the Liberation Day Committee and the Saipan Mayor’s Office are placing more emphasis on service learning for volunteers. Volunteers will be able to rotate through different support groups as well as further explore areas of professional interest. Much like last year, CNMI youth are stepping up to commit to community service and gain valuable experience in the process.

“I am really excited about having the opportunity to learn photography and videography from someone who has worked on a Hollywood television series like Hawaii Five-0,” said a first-time volunteer.

2016 Liberation Day Festivity sponsor, Saipan Ice and Water, generously donated water and ice for this year’s volunteers. Marianas Business Plaza also kindly offered the use of their ground floor space along with seating. The Saipan Mayor’s Office, Skywalker, and the LDC would like to thank these sponsors for their continuing support of the festivities and the volunteers.

The Liberation Day Festivities organizers will continue to accept applications from individuals who were not able to attend yesterday’s orientation. Forms can be picked up at the Skywalker Communications main office on the second floor, room 2014 at the Marianas Business Plaza, Susupe.

Members of the Liberation Day Committee, Skywalker Communications, Group, Saipan Mayor’s Office, and Liberation Day Foundation will conduct the orientation.

For more information, please contact Pangelinan at 234-234-7942 or email ldcnmi@gmail.com.

Volunteers this year will have the opportunity to be involved in marketing, planning, and running…

[4
26,4282,1712,4494
post-228221","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-local-news","tag-cnmi","tag-liberation-day-committee","tag-marianas-business-plaza","tag-skywalker-communications
["GET
