(Contributed Photo)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Thirteen of the 14 candidates of this year\u2019s Queen of the Pacific transgender pageant, along with officers and members of the United Filipino Organization, joined hands in a beautification project of the FilCom pavilion beside the Civic Center in Susupe.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 30 people helped in the cleanup last Sunday where five big trash bags were filled with garbage left in the vicinity.<\/p>\n<p>Malou Malasarte, wife of UFO president Bong Malasarte, led the cleanup with the 13 candidates also planting flowers at the side of the pavilion.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second community service done by the \u201cQueen\u201d candidates after giving free haircuts to the man\u2019amko last May 13 at the Office on Aging in China Town. More than 30 elderly availed of the free service.<\/p>\n<p>Fourteen are vying for the Queen of the Pacific crown, a contest for transgender candidates.
