Guerrero, in his welcome remarks, thanked all those veterans who are now working with the PSS. \u201cWe have quite a number of veterans, from [Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps] instructors to teacher assistants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you to all of you and we appreciate your interest in being part of the PSS family. Thank you for your sacrifice and eager to learn skills to become successful members of the community,\u201d Guerrero added.<\/p>\n<p>He said veterans and reservists who joined PSS have much to teach the students. \u201cWe can\u2019t underestimate the efforts you showed in serving our country. For that, you have much to teach our students regarding leadership and responsibilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former senator Ray Yumul, the event\u2019s inspirational speaker, also lauded all PSS personnel who once served in the military saying that they are an outstanding group of people. He said it was Gerri Willis and Wilfred Camacho who were the ones who came up with the program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Troops to Teachers program expanded. It is a form of career advancement for the, especially for those who just finished their service. Have something to do after being deployed,\u201d Yumul said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are a lot of programs that are waiting after your military service.
